The Bo$$ Bistro Brunch is a pop-up summer series in collaboration with the Mayan Cafe, where each month we take a Black home cook or Black owned independent catering service and grant them the opportunity to curate their own brunch menu. Through this process, the guest chefs will learn directly from head chef Bruce Ucan and crew (Anne Shadle, Rebecca Osley & Esli Hernandez) - how to build out/price their menu, order their ingredients and successfully run the kitchen during the actual brunch service. The majority of the profits from each brunch will go directly to the showcased chef. This is just one step towards deliberately building equity, education & generational wealth amongst Black entrepreneurs - especially in the highly segregated Nulu business district.
